Jonathan Webb, PhD, educator, social justice activist, and author of KG: The South, is currently co-owner and President of Sign Enhancers, Inc. In August 2017, he began teaching interpreting in the world’s oldest Deaf Studies department, located at California State University-Northridge.

Growing up in White Plains, New York, Goldstein graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College, where she received the Montague Prize for Excellence in Philosophy, before heading to Princeton University, where she earned her Ph.D.

Sally Rubin (co-director) is a documentary filmmaker and editor who has worked in the field for more than 15 years. Her mother is from Calderwood, Tennessee, a hollow in the Smoky mountains. She grew up visiting Appalachia and has been spending time with family and friends in the region for many years.
